Scouts Enjoy Summer Camp at Goshen
The Boys’ Troop and Girls’ Troop managed to survive the 100+ degree heat at their annual summer camp, held this year at Camp Olmsted at Goshen Scout Reservation. Scouts earned their merit badges in many different forms, from flipping their boats in Kayaking to hitting (and missing) the target at Archery. Many popular things to do during free time were getting dusty at the Gaga Ball Pit, spending their money on a frozen treat at the camp store, and completing a mile swim which may or may not have been very tiring on many people. Scouts also got to go to two bonfires involving songs, fire, and skits created and performed by many different Scout troops, having everything from a solo accordion to the classic “Boom Chica Boom” song.
